OCSODY JOINS SOUTHWEST FLORIDA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Entrepreneur joins non-profit as Chief Strategy & Operations Officer

The Southwest Florida Community Foundation has named Peter Ocsody as its Chief Strategy and Operations Officer.

An avid entrepreneur and an educator of entrepreneurship, for the past five years Ocsody has been working with the foundation and the FutureMakers Coalition’s guiding team on various projects as well as providing workshops to its staff and its non-profit tribe members.

In his new role as the Chief Strategy and Operations Officer, he is responsible to assess, formulate and execute various organizational changes in order to prepare the foundation for its next phase of growth.

“I’m excited to refine and enhance the organizational strategy of the foundation so that it can serve its mission of regional change for the common good,” he said. “As the head of both strategy and operations, I will also work hard to ensure high-quality alignment between those two, making the operations able to efficiently support the organization’s strategic development for applicable social impact-making and innovation.”

Ocsody has worked with and developed several tech-based startups since the beginning of his career. As a consultant he advised and helped the development of startups and small businesses as well as developed workshops, bootcamps and progressive courses for aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners. He has also taught university entrepreneurship courses as an adjunct instructor.

He completed his undergraduate studies in economics from the University of Miskolc while minoring in engineering. Ocsody received his MBA from Maharishi University of Management with an emphasis in organizational development. He studied advanced project management at Stanford University and he is expected to receive his Ph.D. in management this June from Maharishi University of Management.

In addition to the Community Foundation and FutureMakers, Ocsody is an active community member and has volunteered as a martial arts instructor for the last 18 years. He has also volunteered on advisory and judging panels of entrepreneurial projects led by high school and university students and is a member of the advisory board of Dunbar High School.
