Collaboratory to Offer Complimentary Webinars on How to Adapt Events & Fundraising Galas in the Virtual Space for Nonprofit Businesses

With a focus on providing support to regional nonprofits, Southwest Florida Community Foundation is offering two upcoming webinars on how to create effective and successful virtual events and fundraising galas as part of the Foundation’s ongoing Thrivability by Collaboratory program. Fundraising was listed as a top issue for nonprofit organizations in a recent poll of nonprofit leaders.

Thrivability: Virtual Fundraising Events and Galas: Peer Learning Panel Discussion, a complimentary virtual event, will be held on Thursday, May 21, 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. A peer-to-peer presentation, this program will feature nonprofit leaders along with case studies from their recent events. The panel consists of Angela Fisher, Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida; Greg Logenhagen and Renee Pesci, Florida Repertory Theater; Auctioneer Scott Robertson, Scott Robertson Auctioneers; Carolyn Rogers and Elizabeth Lewis, Southwest Florida Community Foundation. Reservations and preregistration are required, and space is limited. Register here.

Thrivability: Network for Good – Raise Money NOW with Virtual Events & Donor Love will be held on Friday, May 29, 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. This complimentary program, offered in partnership with Network for Good, will feature how the fundraising landscape is expected to change and what you can do about it. You will be able to tap into simple tactics to engage donors whether your programs are shut down or you are on the front lines providing services right now. There will also be opportunities to get ideas of virtual events that work. Registration is required.

“Thrivability by Collaboratory is an opportunity for us to grow and create resilience with one another. It is a space and a place for growth,” said Trisha Botty, Head of Social Impact & Connectivity, at Collaboratory. “Our recent flash poll results indicated fundraising as a top issue facing nonprofit organization and we listened. We are bringing in local and national experts in to build strength in our nonprofit community — a community and sector that is important more now than ever as they support those in need.”

Thrivability programs, like these webinars, are designed to provide nonprofit businesses with connectivity and capability building to assist them in their mission and work in the community. Southwest Florida’s ability to prosper socially, environmentally, and economically lies in the capabilities of individuals, nonprofits, local governments, and businesses. Thrivability by Collaboratory is curating homegrown experts, partners, and global gurus to support change-makers in developing themselves and their organization.
