24 Mar 2019 Michigan Friends Connect at Foundation Luncheon
The Southwest Florida Community Foundation hosted friends from the Battle Creek Community Foundation for the Inaugural C3 Luncheon, Calhoun County Connections. Community Foundation CEOs Sarah Owen, of Southwest Florida, and Brenda Hunt, of Battle Creek, spoke about the unique work happening in their respective communities. There were many parallels from the renovation of an historic site for Foundation offices to work in attainable housing, college access networks and workforce development. Carrie Freeman, of Second Muse, addressed the group about alignment involving the B Corporation’s work in both communities in economic development.
