2018 Tribe Stories: this week we catch up with the girls and organizers of the Women’s Empowerment (WE) Series. Keiser University is providing a series of workshops geared toward female high school students. “WE” will prepare these students to meet the unique challenges of joining the workforce as women and pair them with a mentor, with a focus on the following: Overcoming structural sexism; Encountering discrimination; Being assertive in the workplace; Finding and maintaining a relationship with a mentor; Networking and social capital; Finding, using, and understanding sources; and Making the most of internships and opportunities.
