FUND FOR THE ARTS OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA
The Fund for the Arts of Southwest Florida was established in 2012 to promote the arts in our region. It all started with a generous donation of two paintings from Cello Bennett by her late husband Gale Bennett, a renown artist and beloved teacher in the region. The generosity didn’t stop there, Cello coordinated a summer exhibition of Gale’s work and sales proceeds benefited the Fund. This act of kindness started an ongoing series of art exhibits at the Foundation‘s Community Hub where dozens of artists have exhibited and donated a portion of the proceeds to the Fund by the artists.
